Therapies

The concept of Healing Balance comes from understanding human wholeness performing at physical, emotional and spiritual levels at the same time.

I combine Eastern wisdom with Western science and medicine into the medium of conscious touch to emphasize harmony and balance to quiet the mind, clear and organize the body, and maximize the use of individual life force.

When used together, these therapies and practices address one's personal internal environment.  I assist in the process of restoring the capacity each of us has to heal ourselves.

In addition to offering the below therapies, I provide custom therapies which are a combination of any of the below therapies. Please feel free to communicate to me what your preferences are before, during or after a session.  

  • Swedish Massage

    Systematic assessment and manipulation of the soft tissue. Promotes overall well-being and balance through relaxation and stress relief. Loosens muscular tension and stimulates circulation. Improves energy levels.

  • Thai Massage

    Traditional Eastern medical practice and a type of oriental bodywork therapy
    combining acupressure, yoga and Zen shiatsu.  Treats the energy fields which surround, infuse and bring the body to life. Uses acupressure, assisted yoga and manipulative massage. Improves postural alignment, flexibility and range of motion. Calms the nervous system and promotes a deep sense of relaxation with an increased energy level. Please wear soft, loose clothing for Thai Massage sessions.

  • Swe-Thai Massage

    Combines the best of Swedish and Thai Massage therapies.

  • Neuromuscular Therapy/Deep Tissue Massage

    Deep soft tissue and joint manipulations that release trigger points.  Corrects adverse factors in soft tissue; restores the full function of muscles and nerves.

  • Hot Stone Massage

    Application of heated stones to the body during a gentle, deep-tissue massage. Stones are used as an extension of the therapist's hands to stimulate the circulatory system and promote self-healing. Softens and
    relaxes the muscles and helps to release toxins. Induces a state of deep
    relaxation that washes away stress. Creates a feeling of peacefulness and
    spiritual wellbeing.      

  • raindrop therapy

    A method of aromatherapy involving topical application of up to ten essential
    oils along the spine and feet. Specific massage techniques are combined
    with the oils to bring structure and electrical alignment and balance to the
    body. Benefits include deep relaxation, pain relief, improved memory and
    better organ and hormone function.

  • cranial release technique

    A specialized technique involving a very specific and precise neck stretch,
    causing a global release throughout the body structure and the full, free
    transmission and expression of innate forces once again, to result in the
    restoration of health and wellbeing. Assesment and treatment takes only 15
    minutes and features no risks or discomfort. More information.

  • aromatherapy massage

     This therapy goes beyond medicinal properties of plants and extracts. Pure,
    organic essential oils are applied to enhance your mood.  Generates a
    soothing effect on nerves and promotes a meditative or alert state of mind.
    Used as medicine for headaches, depression, insomnia and many other
    conditions

  • Sports therapy

    Uses hands-on techniques to evaluate, treat and improve the status of
    neuromuscular conditions on any sport practitioner.  Recognized as important techniques in controlling pain and restoring normal range of motion. Treats specialized conditions such as myofascial pain syndrome, tennis and golf elbow, etc.

  • Pre- and post-natal treatment

    Therapeutic massage oriented to meet the unique needs of pregnant
    women. Improves circulation, function of muscles and joints and overall
    body tone. Decreases mental and physical fatigue. Helps eliminate toxins,
    relieve sciatic nerve pain and multiple other conditions.  Both the mother
    and the new life receive the benefits from this therapy.

  • shiatsu

    Shiatsu means "finger pressure" and it involves therapeutic manipulation administered by the thumbs, fingers and palms.  Application of pressure is applied to acupressure points to correct internal malfunctioning. Promotes and maintains health, and treats and prevents specific diseases.

  • Zero Balancing

    Hands-on bodywork system designed to align your energy body with your physical structure. Gentle, simple, yet powerful, it focuses on your whole person even when addressing specific needs.   • pranic healing

    Ancient science and art of healing that uses life energy to heal the whole physical and emotional structure. It involves the manipulation of Chi and bioplasmic matter of the patient's body. Also known as medical Chi-kung. More information.

  • myoskeletal alignment

    Holistic approach to relieve pain and correct neck, back and hip structures. Detects and corrects strain patterns to relieve and prevent further pain. Combines deep tissue work with assisted stretching and non-forced spinal alignment. More information.
